துளசி பூஜை

Purpose

Tulsi (Holy Basil) is considered the most sacred plant in Hinduism. Daily worship of Tulsi brings health, prosperity, and spiritual merit. She is considered a form of Goddess Lakshmi.

மேலோட்டம்

Tulsi is revered as a goddess and is believed to be the earthly manifestation of the goddess Vrinda/Lakshmi. The Tulsi plant is found in almost every Hindu household, usually in the courtyard or near the entrance.

The daily practice involves watering the plant, lighting a lamp near it, offering prayers, and performing parikrama (circumambulation). Many families maintain a Tulsi Vrindavan - a raised platform where the sacred plant is grown.

Scientific Note: Tulsi has proven medicinal properties - it purifies air, has antibacterial properties, and reduces stress.
