Kṣamā Prārthanā — Prayer for Forgiveness
Om aavaahana na jaanaami na jaanaami visarjanam
Poojaam chaiva na jaanaami kshamyataam Parameshvara
Mantra-heenam kriyaa-heenam bhakti-heenam Sureshvara
Yat poojitam mayaa deva pari-poornam tad astu me
O Supreme Lord, I do not know the correct method of invocation or farewell; I do not fully know the puja. Please forgive me. O Lord of the gods — whatever worship I have offered, though it may be deficient in mantra, action, or devotion — may it be complete and accepted.
kṣamā = forgiveness; āvāhana = invocation; visarjana = farewell/release; mantra-hīna = deficient in mantra; kriyā-hīna = deficient in action; bhakti-hīna = deficient in devotion; pari-pūrṇam = perfectly complete; astu = may it be.
At the conclusion of puja, offering humility and asking forgiveness for any errors in the ritual.
சிறந்த நேரம்: End of puja
Traditional concluding prayer (widely used across Vaishnava, Shaiva, Shakta traditions)
