Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1. Sit on the floor with legs extended
- 2. Bend right knee and place right foot on left thigh
- 3. Bend left knee and place left foot on right thigh
- 4. Keep spine erect
- 5. Rest hands on knees in chin or jnana mudra
- 6. Close eyes and breathe naturally
- 7. Hold as long as comfortable
Precautions
Work gradually toward full lotus. Use half lotus initially.
Contraindications
Avoid with knee or ankle injuries.
