Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. 1. Sit on the floor with legs extended
  2. 2. Bend right knee and place right foot on left thigh
  3. 3. Bend left knee and place left foot on right thigh
  4. 4. Keep spine erect
  5. 5. Rest hands on knees in chin or jnana mudra
  6. 6. Close eyes and breathe naturally
  7. 7. Hold as long as comfortable
Precautions

Work gradually toward full lotus. Use half lotus initially.

Contraindications

Avoid with knee or ankle injuries.
