Pradakṣiṇā Mantra (Circumambulation Prayer)
Yaani kaani cha paapaani janma-antara-kritaani cha
Taani taani vinashyanti pradakshina-pade pade
यानि कानि च पापानि जन्मान्तरकृतानि च।
तानि तानि विनश्यन्ति प्रदक्षिणपदे पदे॥
Whatever sins have been accumulated in this life and in previous lives — all of them are destroyed with each step of the circumambulation.
yāni kāni = whatever; pāpāni = sins; janma-antara = previous lives; kṛtāni = done; vinaśyanti = are destroyed; pradakṣiṇa = circumambulation (clockwise); pade pade = step by step.
While circumambulating (pradakshina) the deity image or around the temple. Typically 3, 7, or 21 rounds.
