Om [deity] namah
Vana-spati-raso-dbhooto gandhaadhyo gandha uttamah
Aagreyah sarva-devaanaam dhoopo ayam pratigri-hyataam
Saajyam cha varti-samyuktam vahninaa yojitam priye
Grihaana mangala-deepam trailokya-timiraapa-ham
ॐ [देवतायाः नाम] नमः।
वनस्पतिरसोद्भूतो गन्धाढ्यो गन्ध उत्तमः।
आघ्रेयः सर्वदेवानां धूपोऽयं प्रतिगृह्यताम्॥
साज्यं च वर्तिसंयुक्तं वह्निना योजितं प्रिये।
गृहाण मंगलदीपं त्रैलोक्यतिमिरापहम्॥
O [deity] — this fragrance, born from the essence of plants, most excellent among perfumes, acceptable to all gods — please accept this incense. O Beloved, accept this auspicious lamp fed with ghee and wick, which dispels the darkness of all three worlds.
