How to Begin

1
Choose One Mantra

Start with just one mantra that resonates with you. The Om Namah Shivaya or Hare Krishna mahamantra are excellent starting points.

2
Listen First

Use the pronunciation audio (TTS or human recordings) to hear the syllables. Repeat slowly until comfortable.

3
Start with 21 Repetitions

21 repetitions is a traditional starting goal. Use our japa counter to track. Work up to 108 over days or weeks.

4
Morning Practice

Chanting in the early morning (brahma muhurta) is traditionally most auspicious. Even 5 minutes daily is powerful.
