Step-by-Step Instructions
1 1. Sit on the floor with legs extended
2 2. Bend right knee and place right foot on left thigh
3 3. Bend left knee and place left foot on right thigh
4 4. Keep spine erect
5 5. Rest hands on knees in chin or jnana mudra
6 6. Close eyes and breathe naturally
7 7. Hold as long as comfortable
Precautions

Work gradually toward full lotus. Use half lotus initially.

Contraindications

Avoid with knee or ankle injuries.
