Tips for Pooja Room
Light a diya (oil lamp) every evening in the pooja room for positive vibrations.
Keep the pooja room clean and clutter-free. Remove wilted flowers immediately.
Keep the pooja room in Northeast corner of your home. If not possible, North or East is also acceptable.
Choose a calm, clutter-free corner for daily prayer, ideally in Northeast, East or North. Even a small shelf can become a powerful altar.
Keep prayer area clean and clutter-free. Light a lamp regularly with clear intention.
Face East or North while praying. Idols should face West or South so you face the auspicious directions.
Light a lamp (diya) every day, preferably during morning and evening. Use ghee or sesame oil.
Choose a calm corner away from toilets, ideally in North-East, East or North.
Keep the pooja area clean and clutter-free. Remove faded flowers and old prasadam daily.
Place a small bowl of water with flowers in front of idols. This represents purity and prosperity.
