Tarpan and Shraddha are rituals to honor and provide peace to ancestors (Pitru). They ensure ancestral blessings and remove Pitru Dosha.

**Tarpan:** Water offering to ancestors with mantras. Can be done at home, temples, or holy rivers.

**Pitru Paksha:** 16-day period specifically for ancestor worship. During this time:
- No new beginnings

- Feed Brahmins and poor
- Offer food to crows (believed to carry food to ancestors)

**Pitru Dosha:** If ancestors are not at peace, it can cause issues in progeny, marriage, finances.
