Om aam hreem krom yam ram lam vam sham sham sam ham ksham
Asmin moortau praana iha praanaah
Asmin moortau jeeva iha sthitah
Asmin moortau sarvendriyaani... ihaivaagatya sukham chiram tishthontu svaahaa
ॐ आं ह्रीं क्रों यं रं लं वं शं षं सं हं क्षं।
अस्मिन् मूर्तौ प्राण इह प्राणाः।
अस्मिन् मूर्तौ जीव इह स्थितः।
अस्मिन् मूर्तौ सर्वेन्द्रियाणि वाङ्मनस्त्वक्चक्षुः श्रोत्रजिह्वाघ्राणपाणिपादपायूपस्थानि इहैवागत्य सुखं चिरं तिष्ठन्तु स्वाहा॥
Through this mantra, the life force (prana), the individual soul (jiva), and all the senses are invoked into the image/form being worshipped, so that the deity may be pleased to reside there.
During installation of a deity image or at the start of a formal puja sequence.
