Meaning

We press out Soma for Jatavedas (Agni), who protects those who offer; who burns away the giving; may he carry us safely across all difficulties as a boat across a river — Agni who carries us beyond all evil. She who is fire-coloured and blazes with austerity, who is the radiant daughter of the Sun, who is served in the fruits of action — I take refuge in Goddess Durga. Salutation to the one who helps us cross over.

When to Chant

Navratri; Devi puja; for protection from difficulties.

Best Time: Navratri; Tuesdays; during Devi puja

Benefits
