Lord Shiva is one of the principal deities of Hinduism, known as the Destroyer and Transformer within the Trimurti. He is both an ascetic yogi and a householder, representing the perfect balance of detachment and worldly duties.

Shiva is often depicted in deep meditation on Mount Kailash, with the Ganges flowing from his matted hair, a crescent moon adorning his head, and a third eye on his forehead representing wisdom and destruction of evil.

He is worshipped for transformation, protection, and spiritual enlightenment. Devotees seek his blessings for inner strength and liberation.

Symbolism & Significance

Third eye represents wisdom and destruction. Trident (Trishul) symbolizes creation, preservation, destruction. Snake represents conquered ego. Moon represents time.
