Meaning
Satya, truthfulness, is one of the five yamas of yoga. It asks us to align speech with reality, not with what is comfortable or safe. Avoiding truth to protect peace often increases inner tension. Truthful speech, delivered with care, builds the trust that sustains relationships over time.
Practical Application
Today, notice one situation where you chose vague words to avoid difficulty. Practise restating it clearly and honestly — without harshness. Truth does not require aggression; it requires steadiness.
