Set Up Space, Mat, and Time

6 minutes

A beginner practice works best when friction is low. You need enough room to move your arms, a stable surface, and a time slot you can actually repeat.

Treat the setup as part of the practice. A clear room and a clear start time reduce excuses before they appear.

Learning Checklist

  • Clear two arm-lengths of space

Make room for standing, folding, and stepping safely.

  • Keep one support nearby

A chair or wall makes balance work safer.

  • Choose a repeatable time

Ten minutes at a realistic hour beats a perfect plan you skip.
