Safety, Breath, and Pain Signals

Safe yoga means listening early, not after you have already pushed too far. Stay with simple nasal breathing when possible, move slowly into new ranges, and come out before joints feel irritated.

Dizziness, numbness, and sharp pain are signals to stop and reset. Respecting those signals is not weakness; it is mature practice.

Learning Checklist

  • Warm in gradually

    Start with simple joint movements before deeper shapes.

  • Use the talk test

    If you cannot speak a short sentence, the effort is too high for a beginner flow.

  • Modify wrists and knees

    Use a folded towel, chair, or shorter range when needed.
