Effort, Ease, and Recovery

8 minutes

Good practice alternates effort with release. If you never challenge yourself, the body does not adapt. If you never recover, the body stops trusting the practice.

Beginners improve faster when each effort phase is followed by one breath, one pause, or one simpler posture that lets the nervous system settle.

Learning Checklist

  • Exhale during harder moments

    Let the exhale soften gripping.

  • Use a recovery shape

Choose child's pose, easy seat, or a chair rest.

  • End more calmly than you started

That is a strong sign the practice dose was right.
