Posture, Ribs, and Diaphragm
Breathing improves when the body has room. A lifted but relaxed chest, soft shoulders, and a long back of the neck help the ribs move more freely.
You do not need a dramatic inhale. You need a posture that makes each breath feel less blocked and more even.
Learning Checklist
-
Sit on support if needed
A folded blanket or cushion can reduce slumping.
-
Relax the jaw
Jaw tension often spreads into the breath.
-
Let the ribs expand in all directions
Think front, sides, and back instead of only chest lifting.
